One of the best ways to do our part in helping the environment is to do something every day for our earth. Unfortunately, some of the things we absolutely must do every day are inherently bad for the earth. Fortunately though, electric scooters offer us the chance to negate some of those things and significantly reduce the size of the carbon footprints that we are currently leaving on the surface of our earth. Without the need for regular gas consumption, these models operate at extremely clean and environmentally friendly levels.

To answer one of the common myths, contrary to what some people may believe, electric motor scooters actually run on battery power and do not have to remain plugged in! Although the battery power levels do limit the distances you can travel at one time, more and more locations are providing easy access to scooter chargers. To help you get the most life out of each charge and from the battery as a whole, you should check to see that the models you are considering have a lithium battery system (usually last about three years). On average, these lithium models are able to provide you with about 50 miles per charge (assuming a consistent speed of about 30 mph). However, it should be noted that hills will significantly reduce your mileage economy, but the same rings true of gas powered models.

Although electric type scooters usually come with a higher price tag, they will help you save money in the long run by not having to regularly buy gas.
